Dani is from the United States and moved to Spain himself, experiencing the immigration process firsthand. After navigating the paperwork, appointments and uncertainty, he became determined to make the process simpler for others.
Together with Marc, he built Setlyo from the ground up and today leads product development and customer success, ensuring every journey is intuitive, accurate and genuinely helpful

Marc is from Spain and studied in the United States at Fairfield University, giving him firsthand experience of living abroad and adapting to a different culture. Together with Dani, he built Setlyo with one goal in mind: making Spanish bureaucracy easier for everyone.
Today, he leads partnerships, marketing and day-to-day operations, helping grow Setlyo while building relationships with partners and ensuring the platform reaches and supports as many people as possible.
The story
Why we created Setlyo
Setlyo was born from our own experience.
When Dani moved from the United States to Spain, and when Marc experienced living abroad in the United States, we both felt the same mix of emotions: excitement about starting a new chapter, but also uncertainty about everything that came with it.
The hardest part wasn’t moving to a new country. It was feeling like you had to figure everything out on your own.
We remember asking ourselves the same questions over and over again: Which documents do I need? Which process applies to me? Am I missing something? Why does every website seem to say something different? And when you’re trying to understand all of this in a language that isn’t your own, it becomes even more overwhelming.
After spending countless hours searching through official websites, forums and social media, we realised there had to be a better way.
So we created Setlyo with one simple mission: to welcome people to Spain and make the immigration process clear, simple and stress-free.
We built the platform we wish we’d had ourselves. Setlyo brings everything together in one place, guides you through your specific situation, prepares your documents, explains each step in plain language, and is available in five languages so you can complete the process with confidence.
This is just the beginning. Our mission is to make moving abroad easier—not only in Spain, but eventually in many other countries—while always keeping the same simplicity, empathy and personal approach that inspired Setlyo from day one.
